Parasha for Sept 15th - Ha'azinu Empty
PostSubject: The Song of Moshe   Parasha for Sept 15th - Ha'azinu EmptySat Sep 15, 2007 12:19 pm

The song of Moses is only listed in the Bible in two places, Here in this parsha, Deut chapter 32 and in the last direct words recorded from HaShem, in the book of Revelation in chap 15:3

Quote :
And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

I think we must examine the Song of Moshe in light of when it is being sung in heaven. Remember it is a witness. It can be debated that this is not the song mentioned in Revelation but rather the one sung at the Red sea crossing. But one thing we do know that ties it together with the mention in Revelation is in verse 29 of chapter 31 it says:

Quote :
For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the Latter days.............
With the holocaust not far from our memories how can we not see this?

Moshe calls heaven and earth to witness, and recounts the history of the
children of Israel from Adam, showing them as part of history, chosen
before Adam even had a child. Israel’s founding fathers ( the twelve
tribes) were already numbered, and the chosen people chosen. The
imagery of the eagle is given here, an eagle will take it's wings and
break apart the nest to teach the eaglettes to come out, and trust their
mother and father, to soar on the wings of the wind..........................So
is Adonai to His children.

In verse 4 the greatness of our G-d is proclaimed as THE ROCK! and in
verse 15 again we see the Rock mentioned, but scorned, that rock is the
Salvation of G-d, the Father of this nation.

Verse 21 speaks of arousing their jealousy with a 'non-people". What could
a non- people mean? Each nation was a certain, people, but a non-people could that mean a mixture from many peoples, many nations, like the USA?

Or could this mean people from many nations, but believing in the G-d of
Israel, IE, the 'Christian church'?

Does 24 and 25 describe the Holocaust? and 26 and 27 show where He did not let it come to it's final conclusion?

The song ends with a promise to atone for the land of HaShems people.

Could that reference Rev 14:20?

Parasha for Sept 15th - Ha'azinu Empty
PostSubject: Notes on parsha   Parasha for Sept 15th - Ha'azinu EmptySat Sep 15, 2007 1:38 pm

verse 2 - Fall like rain - be welcomed, be nourishing, bring life

condense like dew -

Quote :

Condensation is the change from gas to liquid. This
process happens on surfaces when relative humidity reaches 100%.
Condensation, like evaporation, is also affected by temperature. As the
temperature of air drops, the amount of water it can hold drops, and
therefore water vapor will condense from gas to liquid.

The dew point
is this temperature at which condensation will occur. The lower the
amount of water in the air, the lower the temperature will need to drop
before relative humidity reaches 100%, in order words before the dew
point is reached. The greater the amount of water vapor in the air, the
higher its dew point. The dew point can be reached without changing the
air temperature. If there is a cold glass of iced water for example,
the air temperature will drop to a level at or below the dew point
right in the area surrounding the glass and bring about condensation on
the surface of the glass.

Transpiration
is the process by which plants
eliminate water drawn through their bodies through their leaves. This
process basically covers the surfaces of the leaves in a layer of
saturated air. If the temperature falls even a degree or two, the
saturated air reaches the dew point and dew condenses on the surface of
these plants. As long as the temperature stays at dew point, dew will
condense due to the addition of vapor from the plants or continued drop
in air temperature. If the temperature continues to fall and reaches
the freezing point of water (zero degrees Celsius) the dew will freeze,
producing frost.
How can we see what Moshe is trying to say here about this speech?

Proclaiming the name of Adonai, he is the Rock, he is:

His works are Perfect
His is just
He is trustworthy - does no wrong
Righteous and straight
Not corrupt...................

But his children, that is another story. they are

Crooked
perverted
Foolish...........

He is our Father who made us, formed us and prepared us

We are told to remember 'zakar' just like the Shabbat, we are to recall this, to bring to mind to commemorate, to discuss and dwell on.......

'How the old days were' this gets a little complicated because it is being read 3,500 years ago , but thi s is a song to be remembered mow even, and it is for now, the acharit-hayamim, so we can see, we can look back an.

This is a commmad to know history, to remember the days of old, the days when Moshe stood and took the people out of Egypt, and nurtured them for 40 years till they were ready to inherite the promise to Abraham and Isaac and Jacob.

'Think of the years thorugh all the ages' - Study your history, it is there, in the word, in the Torah, in the prophets, in the writings , in the stories of your fathers.

Why do you think that he wants us to remember about the separation of the nations? Why 70? There are 204 countries listed in the world today.

The Eagle:

Quote :
Eagle parents are very attentive and keep their eaglets warm and dry (under
their wings) until after the young eagle has grown all their feathers. Then
the parents will “stir up the nest”. This stirring means tossing
out all the soft nesting material (rabbit fur, and feather down) and forces
the young eagle to stand on their own feet in order to strengthen their muscles
and talons in preparation for eagle life. Now Deuteronomy 32:11 “As
an eagle stirreth up her nest -- so shall the Lord lead you” should
make more sense. Bottom line: Eagle parents always have the best interest
of the eaglets at heart even when it seems harsh. The young eagles must learn
to stand before they fly.

He made them ride on the heights of the earth ( see eagle above)

14? curds from the wos and milk from the sheep with lamb fat, rams from Bashan and gosts with the finest of wheat four...............

Does this contridict the mitzvah 14:21 Deut.?

16 - What were the non gods?
